Letter to all Chaldean Students in the Catholic schools in Toronto Canada

Dear Students in our Catholic schools, especially students of the international program for our Chaldean Language, the peace and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you

On the occasion of the beginning of the school year 2008-2009, I am pleased and happy to assure you of my prayers and blessing.  As always I Pray for you during my daily Mass and daily Holy Rosary asking our Lord Jesus Christ, through the intercession of our Lady the virgin May, Star of the Morning, to intercede for you to her Son our Savior Jesus Christ to send to all of you the Holy Spirit, to illuminate your minds and to bless you during this year of study, to have a brilliant future and to be always with Jesus, for Jesus and living in His grace, accomplishing the will of God the Father with humility and love.

At home, your parents and love you and support you in all necessary things and want you to be always happy in your life.

Also, dear students when you are in the school with your teachers and the other students you are invited to demonstrate a good attitude towards your teachers who help you and serve you.  They teach  you the necessary and important things to prepare you for a good future.  With your good collaboration and example in the school you will achieve a good life, full of happiness and goodness.

Above all, beloved children, I invite you to be close to your pastors and all their collaborators in the church because they pray for you, they love you and they wish you a holy life and a brilliant future in this world and the next.  You are to be witnesses of the word of God, true disciples of Jesus Christ.  With this unity with your church you become children of God, disciples of Jesus Christ and are able to proclaim the word of God to everybody and everywhere.  Demonstrate this good attitude from the gospel in your life.  Let your light shine before people to see your good actions and to glorify your Father in Heaven, because you are the light of the world.

Let your hearts be open to the spirit of God to shine in your hearts and to choose from you ministers for his kingdom as deacons, priests and religious for His glory and the glory of His holy Church.

Dear beloved students, according to the call of Our Lord Jesus Christ when He says Ï am the Good Shepherd”, let us listen to His call to follow Him and do His divine will in everything as He himself, our Savior accomplished the divine will of His Father in the garden of Gethsemane when he said” My Father, if this cup of suffering cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will be done” Matt 26:42

With your good actions and attitudes you are Disciples of Christ, Children of God, our Creator and Father.  Let the Holy Spirit come to you and live in your life to give you His holy spirit of wisdom, the spirit of understanding to be always holy and able to choose good things to do and bad things to reject.

This year was proclaimed to be the holy year of St.  Paul according to our Holy father Benedict XVI.  I include these phrases by the apostle of nations, St.  Paul from chapter 5 and 6 of his letter to the Ephesians.

St.  Paul was elected and chosen by Jesus Christ to be a holy instrument of evangelization of all people.  We are encouraged to follow him and to be holy instruments ourselves, acting for the glory of God.  Everyone regardless of their positions, parents, pastors, teachers, students are expected to have a holy and happy life in union with the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and also with his church, one, holy catholic and apostolic.  Jesus Christ says that the world knows that you are my disciples when you love each other.

Since you are God’s children, you must try to be like Him.  Your life must be controlled by love, just as Christ loved us and gave his life for us as a sweet smelling offering and sacrifice that pleases God.  Eph 5:1

Be careful how you live.  Don’t live like ignorant people, but like wise people Eph 5:15

Children, it is your Christian duty to obey your parents for this is the right thing to do.  “Respect your father and mother” is the first commandment that has a promise added: “so that all may go well with you, and you may live a long time in the land” Eph 6:1

Build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power.  Eph 6:10

I invite you, my beloved children, to meditate on this hymn dedicated to our Lord Jesus Christ, the Light of the world, not only during the kiss of peace during the Mass but always, to live in the peace of Christ forever.

Welcome, welcome King of Love, our Lord Jesus Christ, light of the world.  Come to us our God.  WE live and die in your love, O Lord.

Believers, lets us bring and give the peace of our Lord with faith and with a pure heart and faithful love. Let us say to the lord, “Come to us.”

Protect O lord the leaders of our church, priests, deacons and all faithful people, to live and die in your love O lord.  Come to us our God.
