1.
The resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead is
consid
ered
the ever-greatest event in the history of human beings,
where a significant turning point took place in this
history, specifically in the relation of people of God to
their creator. This turning point is manifested in enacting
a new covenant between God “the creator” and man “the
creature”. In accordance with this new covenant, God has
become the Father and human beings became God’s children.
Thus, God’s commandments were engraved on man’s heart that
replaced the clay pad in the old covenant (Jeremiah 31:33).
Inevitably, God has been placed in the inner side of man’s
heart at the center of man’s concerns, while His law is
written in man’s conscience. In the light of this momentous
transformation, God did not assign anyone to accomplish it
(as in the old covenant), but rather He undertook the task,
and paid the ransom to liberate man from the slavery of sin
and death.
2.
Jesus Christ (Son of God and the second Person in the Holy
Trinity) has come to bring us the new law, the law of grace
and eternal life. He accomplished the will of God the Father
during His life in the world by revealing a new path that
guides human beings to the holiness and perfection. Jesus
Christ (the Son) has fulfilled God’s (the Father) will by
sacrificing Himself on the cross and paying the ransom on
behalf of all men captured by sin and death, those who were
made followers to evil. Christ offered His life for the sake
of the new teaching, the new law; He released yokes that
were employed to capture men by man. Our Lord Jesus Christ
had suffered and died on the cross in order to declare to
men, through all ages, that He has come to reveal the
reality of Almighty God to men, and that His message is to
bring salvation to human beings. Our Lord liberated men from
stains of sin and reconciled them to God the Father. All
this would not have been achieved without the death of our
Lord on the cross.
3.
Adversary to what might some people think; the death of our Lord Jesus
Christ was not the end of His mission or retraction of His teaching and
principles; but rather was a crowning of His mission on earth by
bringing victory against sin and death. This victory reached the vertex
though the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and giving human
kind a new covenant, a new hope, a covenant that is not written on clay
pads but rather on heart of whoever believes that Jesus Christ is Son of
God and the Savior (see Acts 4:12).

5.
We
are all invited to this resurrection which can be attained by following
footsteps of our savior Lord Jesus Christ and by abiding to God’s
commandments to gain the eternal happiness. The Resurrection of our Lord
Jesus Christ brought victory and hope to all who believe in Him: Mary
Magdalene, the scared disciples, all martyrs and saints and to us. We
who believe in the name of the Lord today are invited to evangelize in
the name of the resurrected Lord without fear but with courage and
persistence. Our Lord’s resurrection was not ephemeral, but rather it is
a fountain source of power attainable by everyone who believes in the
Lord’s name. A power that enables us to conquer power of sin and death
in our life and resurrect in the last day in the Lord’s resurrection and
be transformed to the highnesses where all Victorians celebrate after
life-long spiritual battle against devilish.
6.
On
the other side, the hope that was given to us through our Lord’s
resurrection is not fugitive. Our hope in the Lord is everlasting in the
light of His call to us to reconcile with God the Holy and the Good one,
through Jesus Christ’s precious blood. The precious blood of our Lord
has paid the ransom and redeemed us, released us from yokes of slavery
to the sin, revived our human dignity and called us to inherit the
Kingdom of Heaven.
It is a fact beyond dispute, that all
believers in the name of the Lord are called to exercise significant
role to preserve the continuity of this Victorious Resurrection and the
New Hope. Ultimately, the unique way to accomplish this would be by
doing God’s Will; fulfill His commandments and abide by the teaching of
the New Covenant, through which man can attain the true happiness. This
true happiness is the happiness of giving, the happiness of forgiving,
the happiness of sacrificing oneself for the sake of others, it is
certainly the eternal happiness that leads to the absolute truth.
Needless to mention, that during our
spiritual challenges in the world, we need not to acquire or seek any
earthly, mortal or temporal victory, because our real triumph is in
heaven with all saints to glorify the Almighty God with the Carobeem and
Sarapheem. St. Paul in his letter to the Romans states:” I consider that
the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the
glory to be revealed to us.” (Rom 8:18). Hence, neither our victory nor
our hope is worldly. Let us then have faith in our hope for it is our
spiritual endeavor to achieve victory and gain eternal life in the
presence of the Holy Trinity….Amen.
